Summary: The AVP of Human Resources report to the VP of HR and will coordinate implementation of services, policies and programs through Human Resources staff; provides guidance to the executive leadership team; and assists and advises company leaders about Human Resources issues.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities


Support VP, HR Operations on critical and strategic HR programs, KPIs, key initiatives, analytics, data consolidation and reporting for internal and external meetings

  • Leads the development of Regional HR Team goals, objectives and systems. Sets objectives for Regional HR Teams to align talent acquisition and talent management through employee life-cycle programs including recruiting/onboarding, performance coaching, and termination.
  • Manages the development and maintenance of the Human Resources section of the HRIS Portal, SharePoint, and all external sites sharing company-specific information related to HR/Recruitment.
  • Partners with leadership to communicate Human Resources policies, procedures, programs and laws.
  • Provides guidance to the HR team in all functional areas to grow and develop specific skills as needed.
  • Direct the maintenance of departmental record keeping and document destruction.
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with federal and state regulations related to the HR function.
  • Recommend and implement policy and process changes as needed.

Requirements and Desired Skills 

  • Bachelor’s Degree required
  • SPHR or SHRM-SCP Certification required
  • 8-10 years of related work experience including five years in a supervisory role is required.
  • The ability to handle confidential information with relevant expertise in state and federal employment laws and regulations is essential
