Overview

Morgan Properties is a real estate investment firm specializing in value-add investments in the apartment sector.  The firm has over $5 billion of assets under management, with a geographical concentration in the Mid-Atlantic and Northeast Region, primarily in Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Maryland. Morgan Properties has acquired over 25,000 apartment units since 2007 and currently oversees a portfolio of 38,000 units. Morgan Properties is currently one of the largest and fastest growing multifamily owners and operators in the country.  Morgan Properties in headquartered in Philadelphia area. 

Responsibilities

As a member of Investment Management group, the Sr Financial Analyst will play an integral role in all acquisition, disposition and financing transaction work.  The Financial Analyst will:

 

  • Underwrite new investment opportunities
  • Develop robust financial models and perform ad hoc financial forecasting, analysis and modeling
  • Interact with brokers, visit target properties and conduct market analyses
  • Coordinate due diligence activities with other departments
  • Compile lender packages, obtain financing quotes, and evaluate financing alternatives
  • Prepare investment materials for Investment Committee, executive management team, and outside investors
  • Participate in strategic planning and budget processes

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have:

  • 1 to 2 years of experience in real estate, investment banking, or private equity
  • A bachelor's degree in business or finance
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Strong background in financial modeling and valuation analysis
  • Attention to detail with strong organizational skills
  • Eagerness and ability to learn in a fast-paced environment

 

The position requires proficiency in investment valuation and Excel, which will be measured via an employer provided assessment.  Passing CFA Level 1 exam is a plus.
