Overview

 

What you will be doing:

  • Repair and/or prepare all wall and trim surfaces to include filing nail holes, cracks, and joints with caulk, putty, plaster, or other filler. 
  • Hang drywall, tape, and sand.
  • Select premixed paints, or mix required portions of pigment, oil, and thinning and drying substances to prepare paint that matches specified colors.
  • Spread drop cloths over floors and room furnishings, and cover surfaces such as baseboards, door-frames, and windows with masking tape and paper to protect surfaces during painting.
  • Paint surfaces with brushes, spray gun, or paint rollers.
  • Apply paint with cloth, brush, sponge, or fingers to simulate wood grain, marble, brick, or tile effects. 
  • Erect scaffolding or set up ladders to perform tasks above ground level.
  • Wash surfaces prior to painting with mildew remover where needed
  • Assist in maintaining maintenance materials and supplies
  • Responsible for daily clean up of Maintenance Shop


What we’ll expect from you:

  • Valid drivers’ license along with good driving record and auto insurance is required
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
  • Be able to pass a criminal background check and drug screen.
  • Be able to work as a team and independently
  • Help others both at the site and other sites
  • Be flexible in transferring to other local regional sites if required.
